  • Day 1 Hanoi - Nghia Lo (totally about 200km)

    Today you will take your flight to Hanoi, starting your vacation in Vietnam. Upon arrival in Noi Bai Airport, proceed through immigration, retrieve your luggage, clear customs. Meet the guide then board on a private car, departing for Nghia Lo. Drive through the rural areas with beautiful countryside scenery. Many stops for photos are made at tea plantations, rice paddies or pay a short visit to the villages.

    In late afternoon we arrive at the house in the village in Nghia Lo where we spend the night. Check in. the host warmly welcomes you with some welcome drink. Get to know each other. Then, leisure time for a short walk around or shower before dinner with the family. Overnight in home stay in the village.

    Day 2 Nghia Lo - Tu Le - Mu Cang Chai (totally about 100km)

    We are up early in the morning for sunrise photos or the photos of local activities, cycle or walk around to visit minority ethnic groups such as White Thai, Black Thai, H Mong as well as visit the hilltribe market for the study of their daily lives, culture, tradition and customs. Get back to the house to pack up your own luggage, saying goodbye to Nghia Lo then depart for Mu Cang Chai.

    The stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces will be soon in our sight inspire us to make several stops for photos or pay a short visit to the villages along the way. Your sightseeing  and photo day lasts until you arrive in Mu Cang Chai where you spend the night in a hotel.

    Day 3 Mu Cang Chai - Sightseeing - Photo - Sapa

    Today, we depart for Sapa after breakfast. We spend full day driving north-west. The road continuously twists and turns along mountains and you will soon get into your eyes a glimpse of the spectacular vistas and impressive rice terraces. We stop at breath-taking sites along the way for postcard-like photos or to visit the local market, villages and salmon farm before heading up the pass of Heaven Gate(the highest peak in North West of Vietnam, over 2000 meters). Make another quick stop for photos at the top of Pass with the marvelous view. Arrive in Sapa in late afternoon. Located at an elevation of about 1,500 meters amongst spectacular rolling hills and thanks to the pleasant weather, the town of Sapa was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. You can feel four seasons within a single day. Some people also call it “the roof of Indochina” for its highest mountain in the area-Fanxipang (3143 m above sea level)

    Here you will soon see people of different ethnic groups such as Black Hmong, Red Dzao, Flower Hmong… Check in hotel.

    Some time at leisure in Sapa is included as it is the jewel in anyone’s visit to this small mountainous town: walking, talking to locals or shopping around Sapa.  Overnight in Sapa.

    Day 4 Sapa - Lao Chai - Tavan - Cat Cat

    After breakfast at hotel, the car drives you on a winding but charming road with spectacular vistas and fascinating rice terraces in Muong Hoa Valley. The stops for postcard-like photos are strongly recommended along the way.

    The car drops you off at a certain starting point and then you will start your beautiful walking day by trekking on a small trail with spectacular view and then gradually descend to Lao Chai village of Black H'mong minority who started to come and live in between 16th and 17th century. Then continue a most favourite trekking route to Ta Van village for more study of Dzay ethnic group. There are several schools, which you may drop in to learn how the local children receive their schoolings. Continue your wonderful trek through the village and then along the river until you reach a small café for refreshment.

    The car will collect you from a pick up point for a 30 minute drive back to Sapa. On the way back, we can make some more stops for photos as the scenery is so beautiful that it is hard for you to stop clicking the camera buttons. Arrive in Sapa in late afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Sapa

    Day 5 Sapa - Matra - Ta Phin - Hanoi

    After breakfast, the guide meets you at hotel for short briefings on the trek. Then a short drive brings you to Matra Village where you start an about 4 hour walk on a trail running through the beautiful rice terraces and charming artichoke garden. You will then pass through the Black Hmong ethnic minority village, a very small village hiding way from the civilisation. The walk continues through rice paddy fields and spectacular scenery. During the trek, visit a local school to see how local children receive their education.

    Enjoy your lunch in a small roadside restaurant before arriving in Taphin village. Here you can hear about the unmixed cultural life of Black Hmong and Red Dao minorities, 2 largest ethnic groups in the area. You can recognise them by their clothings while they are both very famous for handicraft . You will enjoy walking among local people. The trip also offers you the opportunity to visit the local houses to learn more about the daily activities. Get in the car to drive on another beautiful road by car.  On the way back, we can make more stops for photos as the scenery is so beautiful that it is hard for you to stop clicking the camera buttons. Arrive in Hanoi in late afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi

    Day 6 Hanoi - Departure

    Free until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
