    Map Itinerary

  • Day 1 Hanoi - Lao Cai

    This evening, board an overnight express train from Hanoi to Lao Cai, an unassuming town on the Vietnam-China border. Snooze in comfortable sleeper berths arriving in Lao Cai very early the following morning.

    Day 2 Lao Cai - Sapa

    From Lao Cai, drive about an hour west along a stunning mountain road to reach Sapa. Take a nap or snap a few photos of the distinctive rice terraces that rise hundreds of metres from the valley floor. Soon you will be arriving into the town of Sapa, surrounded by mist-shrouded mountains and the villages of several ethnic-minority groups. Today explore the surrounding area with a trek to nearby villages where the people dress in bright, distinctive clothing that’s typically colored with indigo and other native dyes.

    Day 3 Sapa - Ban Lech - Thanh Phu - Sin Chai

    Met up at your hotel in Sapa by local guide and driver then transferred 18 km to Ban Lech village of the Red DZao. We will trek along a narrow valley downhill for 2 hour to the Ngoi Bo River, then uphill for 1 hour to Muong Bo Village at the center of Thanh Phu Commune where your lunch will be provided in a local house.

    After lunchtime, you will trek gradually uphill to Nam Cum Village and then head to Sin Chai B village of Red Dao where the night will be spent in a bamboo hut in the village.

    Approx: 1-hour driving/ 6 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.

    Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Day 4 Sin Chai B - Ben Den - Lao Cai

    After breakfast, we will start our day with a long trek towards Lao Cai. The route from Sin Chai, one of the most remote area in Sapa offers beautiful scenery and landscape. The trek will take us through rice paddy fields, bamboo forest, old trees jungle. Your lunch will be provided at Nam Ket. After lunch, we will trek downhill to Ta Thang village. Towel off and drive back to Lao Cai, where you will take an overnight train back to Hanoi.

    Approx: 0.5-hour driving/ 7.5 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.

    Day 5 Hanoi

    Your tour ends when you arrive into Hanoi early this morning.
