  • Day 1 Hanoi arrival

    Upon arrival Noi Bai airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel to freshen up. If time permitted, you’ll take 1-hour cyclo ride to visit Hanoi Old Quarter. Explore the fascinating Old Quarter and its hundreds of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquer ware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects and more.     Day 2 Hanoi city tour - Over night train to Sapa

    After breakfast at hotel, you are followed by a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university.

    After your own lunch, you’ll enjoy a walk around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and through the less peaceful Old Quarter, a bewildering maze of shopping streets and restaurants with an amazing assortment of architecture - traditional tube houses, countless pagodas, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices. You will see an evening performance of Hanoi's famous water puppets. Then we transfer to train station for overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

    Day 3 Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat - Ham Rong moutain

    The train arrives in Lao Cai early in the morning, you will uphill to Sapa. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. The remoteness and the simple lifestyle of ethnic minority people are a highlight of Sapa though conditions are basic. After settling into your hotel you will take a soft trek to Cat Cat village about 3 kilometres away from town take you about 3 hours walking to visit H’Mong minority people who first lived in Vietnam in the 17th & 18th  centuries, then you’ll walk to Ham Rong mountain about 2 hours for a fabulous overview of Sapa town. Overnight in Sapa.

    Day 4 Sapa - Local market - Lao Cai

    You will be met by your guide then start our drive to local hill trible market. After crossing the Bao Nhai Bridge, the journey is uphill offering beautiful views over the valleys. Situated 20 km from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small, but very colorful market. Opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong, Black Dzao, Phu La ethnic costumes. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will leave the market for Bac Ha town for lunch.

    In the afternoon, you will take a walk to Ban Pho, a small village of Nung and Flower Hmong. The villagers grow vegetables and fruit trees. You will transfer to train station for overnight train back to Hanoi.

    Day 5 Hanoi - departure

    You’ll be met at the Railway Station early this morning, check in a hotel near train station for some hour refresh before a transfer to airport for your flight departure. Trip ends at the airport
